In addition to Bayern Kapital, the BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund, Rabo Ventures, Edaphon, and the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF) participated in the expanded financing round totaling 37 million euros. The space-tech startup OroraTech is a leading provider and developer of solutions for satellite-based Earth observation. Founded in 2018, the Munich-based company has developed its Wildfire Intelligence Solution—a system for the early detection and risk assessment of wildfires that relies on compact nanosatellites no larger than a business card. These satellites are equipped with proprietary, AI-powered, multispectral thermal imaging cameras that capture thermal data on the Earth’s surface, enabling them to determine the location, size, and potential spread of a fire with high precision.
